Rayhaan Imperia Legacy opens with aldehydes, coriander, clary sage, artemisia and bergamot, a bright, soapy-fizzy, herbal and citrusy group. The heart is long: patchouli, carnation, vetiver, cinnamon, geranium, jasmine and orris root. Together they give spice, flowers, earth and powder, with carnation spicy and orris cool and powdery.
Eight notes fill the base: civet, honey, leather, musk, oakmoss, amber, tonka bean and vanilla. Civet is animalic, honey sweet and waxy, leather dry, oakmoss green and damp, and the rest warm and soft. The impression is of a rich, old-fashioned construction, sweet and a little animalic at the bottom.
