How does Rayhaan Pharaoh smell?
Boozy notes, saffron, cardamom and cade oil open Rayhaan Pharaoh with a strange, rich mix: a spirit-like warmth, leathery saffron, cool spice and a smoky, tarry edge from cade. The heart brings coffee, benzoin and suede. Coffee is roasted and bitter, benzoin sweet and balsamic, and suede soft, dry and faintly animalic.
Five notes build the base: guaiac wood, tonka bean, labdanum, vanilla and amberwood. Guaiac is smoky and woody, tonka and vanilla are sweet and creamy, labdanum is dark and resinous, and amberwood adds a smooth warmth. This is a dark, spiced and sweet composition from start to finish.
