How does Rayhaan Terra smell?
Rayhaan Terra has long note lists, so a few stand out. The opening mixes frankincense, cardamom, elemi, lemon, bergamot and Sichuan pepper: smoky resin, cool spice and bright citrus with a tingling edge. The heart is larger still, with patchouli, anise, coriander, wormwood, cumin, orange blossom, saffron, geranium and rose, a blend of herbal, spicy, floral and earthy tones.
The base repeats frankincense and adds vanilla, benzoin, amber, oud, opoponax, birch, ambergris, maltol, labdanum and musk. Most of these are resinous, smoky, sweet or musky, and maltol adds a sweet, toasted sugar note. The whole is a dense, resin-heavy scent, spicy at the start and sweet and smoky at the end.
